Is there an extra charge for picking up and delivering my dry-cleaning?
No! There is no extra charge for our Home Pick-up and Delivery Service. You pay the same price that you would by dropping off at one of our stores.
How can you provide this service for free, especially considering the high price of gasoline?
While fuel prices have been and continue to be high, operating a van for home pick-up and delivery is a very economical alternative when compared to building and operating a store. Home delivery clients are charged the same price as customers using our stores, so why not give home delivery a try?
I am concerned about the security of leaving my clothes outside. Has there been any problem with theft?
We have delivered ten’s of thousands of orders to front doors, back doors and porches of homes over the past several years and have not had the first incident of stolen or damaged clothing. And let’s face it, rarely would a thief want someone else’s clothing.
We do have a few clients that prefer delivery in a locked garage, for example. They will leave a side
door open on the delivery day. Our driver will lock the door once the order is delivered. This is why we
pre-determine the pick-up and drop-off location with your input before we get started.
Are you just a delivery service or a dry cleaner also?
Dixie Cleaners, LLC is a full service dry cleaner and laundry operation and we operate our own pick-up and delivery service. We prefer this arrangement (rather than third party delivery) for several reasons: 1) we want to give you the best service possible and can only do that if we control the process from the time your garments are picked up until they are delivered to you, and 2) if you ever have an issue (that will be rarely if ever), you have only one company to deal with and you may speak directly to the owners if you wish.

Do you pick up and deliver at businesses?
Yes. We do pick up and deliver at businesses; however our focus is on home delivery. We believe that our clients receive the maximum benefit from home delivery (unless your home is not in one of our delivery areas). The only time you have to remove your clothing from your home is when you are wearing them or packing them for a trip!
Why don’t you have multiple stores like many other Dry Cleaners?
In the past, we have operated stores in several locations. However, to insure you receive the best quality work & service possible, we believe it is extremely important that our cleaning, pressing, and quality control be done in one location. Our customers agree that the convenience of home pick up or delivery up to twice per week is more than adequate to take care of their dry cleaning or laundry needs. Because of the growth in our pick up & delivery business, we can usually accommodate emergency pick ups if necessary.
What do I put my clothes in for you to pick up?
You can simply put your first order in your own clothes bag or a plastic trash bag. When your order is returned, we provide you with a nice nylon clothes bag with a color coded name tag for your particular route. We ask that you use this bag for future orders to help us keep the orders straight. Usually, one bag is sufficient, however if you are sending clothing twice per week (and many clients do), we will provide you with a second nylon clothes bag at no charge.
How do you know when to pick up my clothes bag?
If you are using this service at least weekly, we will be stopping at your home or office twice per week. Simply leave your bag at the pre-determined location we agreed upon, and our driver will pick it up. You do not have to be at home for us to pick up or deliver.
If you are using this service less than once per week, we may ask that you call in using our toll free number when you have an order to be picked up or schedule a pick up from our website. The location of your residence (subdivision or rural) may determine how this works, but this can be worked out with our driver or any of our customer service reps by calling our toll free number.
Can I pay your driver for each order?
We certainly never refuse a payment, however we prefer to charge your credit or debit card (Visa or Master Card). We believe this is one of the conveniences we provide by reducing the number of checks or cc transactions you make during the month for dry cleaning.
Why should I use this service when I can drop off and pick up my own cleaning?
Home delivery may not be for everyone. If you use the services of a dry cleaner less than once every few months, then home delivery may not be for you.

What do I have to do to get started?

If you will not be home for your first pick up, then place your clothing in a plastic bag (or your own clothes bag) and leave at the pre-determined location. We’ll take care of the rest.
